Chloe
I started practising Yoga in my early 20s to help me find a sense of grounding during an unsteady time in my life. I visited India in 2017 and completed my 200-hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga based in Kerala, Southern India. Learning and living in India was an amazing experience and has shaped my practice and approach to teaching. After my teacher training, I spent time in Ashrams and was able to soak up all the knowledge available to me. After leaving India, I moved to Sri Lanka where I taught at various Yoga and Meditation retreats which was a wonderful way to develop my skills as a new teacher. In 2018 I moved to New Zealand where I continued teaching and also developed my personal practice of Ashtanga Yoga. I was lucky enough to practice under the amazing Mike Berghan at his Te Aro Astanga studio and this helped shape my practice and teaching.
In my lessons today I use the foundations of Hatha but also invite participants to explore their own creativity and individuality. My aim in teaching is to ensure people feel comfortable in their own body and mind, with the use of pranayama and asana. We will explore foundational postures with a focus on alignment, gradually building strength and flexibility. I aim to provide a nurturing space for you to expand your practice, fostering a sense of mindfulness and well-being. Join me on the mat to discover the joy of movement.
